The International Senate for Theological Accreditation (ISTA)  provides a collective voice to the more than 70 graduate schools of theology that make up its membership. Through its innovative programming, the Association provides leadership development and networking opportunities to the administrators and faculty of member schools. The related Commission on Accrediting (COA) affords a system of accountability through peer evaluations in the accreditation process.

The ISTA communications department works with reporters and editors from regional and national publications to share data and insights about theological education and the Association’s member schools. Periodic news releases highlight key trends among theological schools and provide a context for reporting on more in-depth stories about individual schools and faith communities.
